on an eternal quest to use up some of my stash!
to this......
and after .....
and finally, a fun Dinosaur card from this pack
And here's a cute green peel off froggy trying to catch a fly
And finally, some birthday party themed peel offs against a bright, multi-coloured patterned paper
I've now made so many more cards with the big pile of peel offs that were gifted to me in April
There were lots of butterflies, sentiments and flowers
In lots of different colours, some were holographic!
Forced me to make different styles of cards from my usual, including several masculine and childrens' cards - still lots of peel offs left for when inspiration strikes again!
I dug out lots of gold mirri card and some dies to make this for her - apparently she loved it! Not a good photo , but the best I could get with all the reflections.
I've also been gifted lots of peel offs from someone who has given up card making, 4 were used in the corners of this card.
I was kindly gifted a carrier bag full of scrapbooking papers, frames, photo mats, stickers and alphabets by Creative Memories (a USA Company) by a friend of my Mother
There are lots of duplicates papers and packages, and not in the usual style that I would choose
So I have had to be creative and come out of my comfort zone to utilise them
and despite have made over 30 cards from them so far, there is still much, much, much more left !
Treated myself to a new stamp from Honey Doo Crafts - the Floral Oval Frame with the Oval Mask & Stencil Set which were in the sales. Was delivered within 2 days, so very impressed!
Made several cards with the stamps and stencil in different colourways this morning, lovely crisp images with super sentiments to go with them!
Wishing you all a happy, healthy and crafty 2025
These are made from last years recycled Christmas cards with added embellishments
Continuing to make loads of Xmas cards for charities, in lots of different styles and techniques to appeal to different people.
but even so, deer seem to crop up in many of them!
Then it is pleasure to rediscover everything I put away 9 months ago.
I have so much stuff, that I do not really need to buy any more papers, sentiments, stamps or embellishments.
So these first few cards are the start of making an in-road into that pile. They will go in the charity box, so can be in a variety of styles and colours.
I tried it a couple of times with paste and spray paints, but never like the effect, so it sat at the bottom of a drawer, forgotten and neglected for 8 years.
Now, I have discovered it makes a lovely birthday card for gardeners using pink, purple and blue distressed oxide inks. Finished it off with a metallic purple dragonfly brad, that I have probably had for 8 years too!
Following from my previous post - here is the birthday card with the cat face on it - this stamp is called Tabitha's Portrait by Anita and is one of my oldest and most favourite stamps.
It also featured on my blog 12 years ago and also in 2015 !
I picked up this little pack of 20 small cards with a green stripe down one side for only £1.20 and challenged myself to use them up asap!
So they became the central focus on several cards. They stamp well with either a sentiment or image
And the green stripe can be linked into the colour scheme
Made a couple of birthday cards suitable for children
We all have those forgotten stamps, that have been unused and un-inked for years, don't we?
So I dug out a couple of old stamp sets from Inkadinkado that date from 2008 & 2009 to use again
Despite being 15 years old, they still stamped nice and crisp images.
